Glendale runs its own police department; non-emergency is (623) 930-3000. The Glendale Fire Department participates in a regional automatic-aid system with other Phoenix-area fire departments, meaning the closest available unit responds regardless of exact department boundaries. 911 covers emergencies as usual.
Recreation
State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, anchors a genuine sports-and-entertainment corridor along with Desert Diamond Arena and the Dodgers’ spring training complex at Camelback Ranch. Separately, Historic Sahuaro Ranch Park — 13 original buildings from an 1886 ranch, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, with a large rose garden — is a completely different kind of destination within the same city.
